Description: Dollar watches were sold in the Five and Dimes stores in the early part of the 20th century. This example is a Westclox Scotty, still in running condition and, believe it or not, keeping pretty good time. Most of thes old dollar watches are no longer running, but this one is just fine! back has some brassing and scratches, but no dings or dents. Face looks good, painted metal as was typical of the Westclox though many actually had paper dials, this one is painted metal. Made in the USA c1920. Add a little piece of Americana history to your watch collection ... can't go wrong with this price either!
