Description: This is an early 18 size Seth Thomas Model 8 in a display back case. The movement is marked: Seth Thomas Thomaston, Conn. serial number 771,399 which dates to 1885 and is a 7 jewel lever set Model 8, with the rare 2-tone damaskening. The dial is multi-colored with a fancy bird in center, procelain with roman numerals. Nice dial with no hairlines. Movement is beautiful and in excellent conditon. The crown shows some wear, but still functional and presentable. A nice watch, priced well below book for a multi color dial.
