Chronograph, Calendar Minute Repeater by Contemporary
Master Machinist and Watchmaker Peter Iles. Hallmarked heavy 5 ounce
Sterling Silver and 14k case with glazed inner dustcover so the movement
can be viewed without exposing the movement to the elements. Inside
back cover is hallmarked with makers mark "PI" and crown for Peter
Iles, "PI .925" Sterling Silver and "K14" for the bow, chronograph
pusher, repeater slide and hinges ... a most remarkable and crisp case with
a beautiful pierced and engraved edge treatement, engine turned back, open
initial shield, hinged back and bezel. High grade gold plated
movement is jewelled to the hammers, running perfectly and keeping good time.
Slide activiated minute repeater chimes properly for the hours , minutes
and quarters. Fancy dial is white porcellain with gold silver and blue
enamel inlay and black Roman numerals, mint condition with no hairlines plus
breuget hands. Whole watch is just in mint condition. You just
don't get a chance to own a Peter Iles watch very often!
