Description:  Here is a nice Illinois Time King, 16 size, 21 jewel Railroad approved pocketwatch.  Beautiful straight line damaskening on a movement in excellent condition, runs well and keeps good time.  SN 4,955,556 making the date of manufacture 1927, the last year of production before the Illinois Watch Company was sold to Hamilton.  Double sunk dial is clean, signed "Illinois" and in very good condition with one almost invisible hairlines  at teh 12 and nice blue spade and poker hands.  Philadelphia Watch Case Co., Twenty Year open face case is plain polished screw back and bezel, gold-filled plain polished back showing a few surface scratches and a couple of pinpoint dings, still it looks nice, no brassing or excessive wear.  Inside of case back shows jewelers marks showing regular inspection and maintenance, and further indicating use on the railroads.  A nice example of American craftsmanship and in very good overall condition
