c1903 Illinois Watch Co. pocketwatch,
serial number 1,423,409. Movement is 18
size, 15 jewel, screw down jewel settings, Model 4, three quarter plate,
lever set, fine train (also known as fast train), this model is listed as
the "Getty Model". The single sunk original Illinois dial has a light
hairline between the 12 and the 1 and an edge flake at the lever set
position. Fahys coin silver , screw back and bezel case in very good
to excellent conditon showing little wear and only light surface
scratches (see pics). The plain polished back is unengraved.
Thick bevelled edge glass crystal is in good conditon, some surface
scratching and an edge chip (not very noticable, see pics). Watch is
in great shape for being 100 years old. Runs good and keeps good time.
