Description:  c1888 Hampden Series IV 18 size 15 jewel "Railway".  Movement is in excellent  condition, Serial No. 626,044, with  15 jewels, stem wind, lever set, screw down jewel settings, adjusted, damaskeened nickel plates, patent pinion.  Openface base metal case is as crisp and near mint as I have ever seen, with screw on bezel and back, nice glass crystal.  Dial is in excellent condition Roman numerals, single sunk, with red 5 minute markers, no hairlines that I can see.  Original Hamden fler-du-le blued hands are in good condition.  Very nice looking watch.  Keeps good time, recently cleaned, oiled and timed.  A nice collectible, and very reasonably priced watch, sure to appreciate in value over the years.
