Description:   World famous Hamilton Model 21 Marine Chronometer, well deserving of the reputation..  c1941 U.S. Navy - this Chronometer is a WW-II Navy contract marine chronometer with 14 jewels, Navy serial # N7206 on both box and movement, all original.  Made by Hamilton in Lancaster, PA.  Works have been professionally overhauled by a master watchmaker who previously worked at the Navy Depot.  It has been cleaned, oiled, and adjusted.  This precision time peace is in excellent running condition, keeping time to it's original specifications.  In excellent condition!

Original three tier mahogany box has been professionally refinished to bring it back it's original condition, with brass gimbals and all brass hardware.  Box dimension sare 7 ½ inches by 7 ½ inches by 7 ½ inches, dial is 3 ½ inches, second tier with glass cover to view the clock while protected from the elements  Box has original Navy signature badge "N7206".  All hands, brass tub and gimbals, dial and key are all original to this time piece.

The fusse detent movement (see detailed pictures below) is keywind from the rear using the supplied and original key.  This chronometer also has the original Navy lock down mechanism for the balance wheell to protect it fro any damage during shipment, handling and storage.  

A reproduction outer box with carrying strap is also available for $295.
