Description:   c1942 Ships Chronometer U.S. Navy, a WW-II Marine Chronometer Model 22 made by Hamilton in Lancaster, PA.  Cased in ORIGINAL double inner and outer boxes and a 3-tier brass gimbal inner box holds the brass tub and chronometer, an outer padded carrying box protects the inner box.  Seems to be running well and is keeping excellent time. The brass counter-weighted tub is is signed "US Navy Bureau of Ships.  Dated and numbers matiching on the brass tub.  Outer box shows some typical wear and the brass gimbal shows some tarnish, but all-in-all in very good condition for an all original piece.  The movement runs and sets well and is keeping excellent time.  A very nice chronometer priced under market value!
