c1942 WW-II HAMILTON chronograph pocket watch was used by US Army and US Navy aircraft navigators. Movement is 16 size, 19 jewels, signed Model 23, adjusted to temperature & 3 positions, with a single button start, stop and reset chronograph.  Dial has 60 second outer chapter for the chronograph, 30 minute counter subdial, and 12 hour chapter, on a black background with white Arabic numwerals and white hands.  Original  siggned Government contract base metal case # 89964, movement # P17867 and military spec number AN-5742-1.  Case has very little visible wear, no dings, dents or major scratches, only very minute light pocket scratches to the back cover.  There is also a number "4" hand etched into the rear cover, I assume this was number 4 in a series of watches used in the military, and so marked.  The crystal is a brand new, The old one was scratched up pretty bad and so was replaced.  Watch is very clean, recently serviced, all functions work properly and it keeps accurate time.
