Description: c1954 Elgin 16 size, 21 jewel, 9 (yes, NINE!) adjustments, signed B.W.Raymond "571" RR Grade, S/N I-372,513, also known as the 47th Model. This watch was introduced in 1950, featuring friction jewels, a solid balance wheel, and a durapower "unbreakable" mainspring. The movement is lever set and conforms to all Railroad specifications. The yellow gold filled case is original and marked "Cased and Timed by the Elgin National Watch Co.". It is in excellent condition with only minor pocket scratches on the back (you can still see much of the factory sand marks!). Thick bevelled glass crystal and original spade and poker blued hands. This watch is running good and keeping good time.
