Description: Featured is a nice-looking Columbus 18 size 15 jewel "Champion" model pocket watch in working condition and keeping excellent time. The unusual "pair case" is "Fahys Oresilver No. 1" in excellent condition, with only a few scratches at the case opening point. The gilded movement: marked "Champion;" adjusted; stem wind and pendant set; serial no. 248964 circa 1895. The double sunk dial says "Columbus Watch Co." in gothic script and looks nice overall with a couple of short light hairlines, and has period-appropriate morning glory open hands. Watch fitted with a great looking new-old-stock bevelled edge glass crystal that has no chips and scratch-free. Serial number 248,964, c1894. I get very few of these Columbus watches for sale, and this one is in a rare silver pair case to boot!
