Description:  This is a fine German GUB (Glashuetter Uhrenbetriebe) Marine Chronometer, GUB being the successor-company of Lange & Soehne in the German Democratic Republic. The serial number is 7910, which indicates a production during the fifties. The instrument is in good condition and seems to be all authentic and complete, including the original winding key, the gimballed Mahogany box and the additional transportation case. The chronometer was obviously in service until a few years ago and comes with a certificate of EML-CN Radio & Navigation Service in Tallin, Estonia, dated December 2nd, 1999, showing that it had a deviation of + 0,85 at that time.
