1989 Corvette Convertible

Low Miles!

Description:  Nice low milage 1989 Corvette Convertible.  Dark Navy Blue with Tan Top and Tan interior, a very attractive color combination.  Delco Bose cassette AM/FM stereo, with four speakers and an amp hidden in one of the rear compartments.  Rear spoiler.  Enike 17" aluminum gold centered rims really set the car off nicely.

My wife and I bought this car for our son on his 16th birthday, but unfortunately he died of cancer shortly thereafter.  We set the car aside for the last two and a half years where it gathered dust in our garage, not having the heart to do anything with it. Time marches on and and we are now moving to a new house so we have decided to let it go.

Condition of Vehicle:  We've put much of our personal time on this car, fixing it up as our son would have wanted it, and there are but a few things left to do.  We installed new seats (cushions and upholstery, new door panels, new rubber window wipes inside and out, and a new woodgrained dashboard.  The car is not perfect but it looks great and would make a better driver than most of them I've seen.  The car runs and drives great, with only 76,992 miles on it, the engine runs like it's just been broken in!  I have two other Corvettes and this one is the best runner of them all.  Automatic transmission shifts smoothly and the engine sounds just awesome with great torque and pickup.  The top is newer, it was only a year or so old when we bought the car, has a couple of minor frays at the window corners, but no tears, no cracks and no stains, looks new from a few feet away.  Stereo and cassette work fine, as they should.  AC could use a charge.  The power seat on the drivers side works for all tilt modes but only hums for forward and back, seems stuck, I have not taken the seat rail out to see why.  Tires look fine with plenty of tread.  Paint has some rock chips here and there and on the front of the hood, typical, but not bad.  The edge of the hood on the passengers side has a repair to a stress crack and has been repainted, a reasonable color match, but can be seen in the daylight, still, it looks fine.  Same with the rear spoiler, it has been repainted.  Battery is newer, a year or so old, holds a charge just fine, starts with just a turn of the key, no hesitation.  Steering does not wander, alignment seems fine.  Headlights work fine and open and close as they should.

Terms and Conditions:  The deposit is 30% of bid price within 3 days of end of auction, balance prior to delivery within 10 days of close of auction. Buyer will be responsible for paying all shipping and transport costs.  The vehicle is located in Martinsburg, West Virginia, convenient to MD, PA, VA, NJ, DC and some parts of NY.  I can personally deliver this vehicle to any of the afore mentioned states for $500.  To give you an idea what shipping costs might be to your area, see: DAS Shipping Link (click here).  Sold as is with no implied warrantee.
