SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:  1934 Packard 1103 Super 8, 5 Passenger, 4 Door with Pilot Rays, Dual Side Mounts and Original Rear Mount Trunk.  Factory fitted with Packard 17" wire wheels, wide white wall tires.  This car has had a complete restoration and is in excellent condition.  Drivers compartment in brown leather, passenger's compartment in beige and grey broadcloth.  An elegant ride.  On a big 135 inch wheelbase, this was the last of the prestigious Packards for the 30's.  It sold originally for about $3000, a heap of cash in those days, professionally appraised in 2002 at $45,500!

CONDITION DESCRIPTION:  This is a completely restored vehicle, engine, drivetrain, intrerior and exterior.  There are very few flaws on this vehicle but I will attempt to capture them all for you here.  The paint is excellent, deep brown with silver trim, though it does have a few road chips here and there most of which have been touched up as needed.  There is no rust anywhere and the paint looks great with plenty of shine and no major flaws, no dings or dents.  The interior is excellent, woodgraining near the vent window handles has some bubbles that could probably be remedied with a touch of glue.  Starts right up, every time, runs and rides as it should, capable of highway speeds for touring if desired.

BRIEF HISTORY:  From the mid 1920's Packard was the indisputable leader in the manufacture and sale of prestigious automobiles.  The depression of the late 1920's and early 1930's was hard on Packard and by 1934 their production dropped to numbers below 7000 cars per year forcing the company to revise thier line of vehicles to beter fit the depressed market of the time.  The 1934 models were the last and arguably the most beautiful of the big Packards as they moved on the lower priced Packard 120 models (named for the reduced 120" wheel base) in 1935, eventually even dropping their famed V12 engines by early 1939.
