SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: 1929 Studebaker President Eight
1929 Studebaker President FH Sedan. This sweetheart was sold new in Oakland, California February 1929. The price at that time was $2000.00 cash. The first owners son was with his dad that day and verified the facts surrounding the original purchase. This car was in storage 30 years in Northern California. The Mohair interior is original. The only mechanical work ever done was to re-babbitt one rod bearing and a total rebuilt Stromberg UU-2 Carburetor professionally completed two years ago. This car is a real road warrior, still driven on tours of over 300 miles at a time with absolutely no problems. The Studebaker President cruises comfortably at 50 MPH. It starts easily. It does not smoke. Shifts effortlessly and breaks as good as they could stop in 1929. The chrome is very nice. The windows roll up and down easily. All gauges work. Horn blows. Lights work. Previous owner repainted the body trim and re-varnished the wood spoke wheels. Car comes with side mount spares, luggage rack, cowl lights, Trippe lights and window shades. The original oil cloth top was replaced this year with a new vinal top in an original pattern. This car won over 2 dozen trophies in the ten years the previous owner had the car. She is a better driver than many of the same era Packards. This 1929 Studebaker President FH will give you years of enjoyment, fun or show!
